I read with great interest your column concerning Facebook. You clarified for me how they have failed to protect the personal profiles of folks like myself who have taken themselves off by deactivating our accounts.
I agree that it isn’t a comfortable feeling to know that they still have whatever personal stuff I put there and they are hanging on to it in the eventuality I may want to reactivate it someday in the future.
In my humble opinion, Facebook users put far too much personal data out there, many users, myself included really don’t understand how it can be used to our detriment. So thank you for doing this service to your readers by bringing up the topic in your recent column.
