Got a ‘heckle’ to unleash? Did a car splash dirty water on you while standing on the street last week? Is a city park not being kept up the way you’d like? Did city council make a bone-head decision somewhere along the way?
Maybe, maybe not.
Perhaps you’ve got a ‘hurrah’ to pass along. Somebody did a good deed by returning a valuable item you’d lost. Maybe a recent event in the city was so spectacular you’d love to tell the world. Perhaps a neighbour is just a great person and you’ve got an anecdote about their neighbourliness you’d love to share.
So here’s where the new Journal feature, Heckles and Hurrahs, comes in. Heckles and Hurrahs offers a venue for the free exchange — anonymously — of ideas in our community. No topic is off-limits, but the Journal reserves the right to edit them for length, libel and decency. No identifying factors can be present in the submissions, so, for example, if you’ve got a ‘heckle’ against a certain store in the city, the store will not be identified. Nor will specific people.
Use email or regular mail to send in your Heckle or Hurrah. Send to:
