Story:Are you new to Shilo or area? Are you retired and looking for something to keep you busy? Are you lonely and wanting to make new friends?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then you might consider becoming a volunteer for the Shilo Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC).
Whether you have an hour a month to offer or can volunteer daily, every hour makes a difference in our community. We will match our programs with your interests, existing skills or desire to learn something new and we can work within your schedule.
Volunteer opportunities are available during the day, evening, weekdays and weekends so stop in and learn new skills and share your skills with others.
Volunteering is a win-win opportunity, to make new friends, and help out in your community.
One of the perks of volunteering at the Shilo MFRC is free child care provided for you at our Occasional Child Care centre so your children get a chance to meet other kids and have fun.
If you are interested in finding out more about all the programs and services and how fun it is to volunteer contact volunteer coordinator Wanda Janssens at 765-3000 ext. 4558.
