Homecoming for Montgomery planned

The town of Russell is planning a homecoming for Jon Montgomery, a gold medal winner in Skeleton at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The festivities will take place March 14 and will consist of a parade at 1:30 p.m. followed by a salute to Montgomery at 3 p.m. at the George P. Buleziuk Centre. The activities wrap up with a free community barbeque to follow at 4 p.m. Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger will also be in attendance for the event.
