Ramage, Van Daele win seniors

Skip Rob Ramage (middle) along with third Shawn McCutheon, second Laurie Stewart and lead Dave Boutet (not in picture) will be travelling to Ottawa to take part in the Canadian Senior Men’s Curling Championships later this month.

Rob Ramage from Baldur defeated Bob Sigurdson's Fort Garry rink 9-4 in 10 ends to capture the 2010 Strathcona Senior Men's Provincial Curling Championship Sunday at the Brandon Curling Club. Team Ramage consists of Skip Ramage, third Shawn McCutheon, second Laurie Stewart, lead Dave Boutet, and fifth Eric Atkins.

Meanwhile, Linda Van Daele of the Brandon Curling Club defeated Lois Fowler, last year's champion, 7-6 in an extra end to capture the 2010 Curl Manitoba Senior Women's Provincial Championship. Team Linda Van Daele is made up of skip Linda Van Daele, third Betty Couling, second Sharon Shannon, lead Liliane Fargey and coach Brian Moffat.

Both senior men's and women's Teams will represent Manitoba at the Canadian Senior Men's and Women's Championship in Ottawa, ON March 20-27.
