That’s a bad idea

If all the auto makers got together, with the technology they each have, what are the odds they could put together a car that wouldn't be recalled?

Doesn't seem like a bad idea, does it?

The idea came to me as I drove my vehicle, (name and model not revealed to protect the guilty), realizing that the North American made model (at least thats what they tell us) was now on a recall list, joining those other vehicles.

Apparently there is a problem with the steering mechanism at low speed, but rest assured the company says, they are still safe to drive.

Okay, I believe you. After all, the company executives are all over the radio, t.v., papers and internet telling us the safety of their customers is their number one priority.

Well golly gosh guys! Can you tell your employees on the assembly line and your engineers. It appears they didn't get the memo, or e-mail or whatever type of message you send out telling us safety is number one.

There's A.A., Gamblers Anonymous and other groups to help those with issues.

I propose Drivers Anonymous, for motorists who live on the edge by driving their recalled vehicles and ignore the manufacturers notices.

There is help. Call and someone will walk over and meet you

If there ever was a time for public transit to make a case for us to get on the bus, this is it.

That is if the buses themselves don't get recalled!

The one downside to this..I can't see a bus full of passengers at the drive through at a coffee place.

Parked at the curb as passengers run into the convenience store, I can see.

As we enter pot-hole season, here's hoping your cars’ suspension holds up.

What do you prefer, dodging a pothole or three or trying to stop at a slippery intersection?

While we are on the subject of automobiles, with the snow melting and mini lakes forming on some streets, slow down as you approach the water and don't spray pedestrians.

Besides, there might be a squirrel taking a bath in the puddle and their privacy should be respected too.

With the warm weather approaching, its nice to drive in a car with the windows rolled down.

And now we'll be able to hear the loud music emanating from some cars a little clearer.

Nothing like the thump, thump, thump of the neighboring car rocking your vehicle at the intersection. Just a request guys and gals...play some good 70s classic rock okay..show some consideration for your fellow drivers.
