Knights ready to host Western Peewee Championships

Ridge Meadows and Abbotsford will complete the field for the Baseball Canada Pee Wee AAA Western Championship next week in Brandon.

The Royals defeated the Abbotsford Angels 12-6 in the British Columbia Pee Wee AAA Final Sunday in Kamloops, with both teams earned a trip to the Wheat City for Westerns.

The two B.C. teams complete the 10-team field, with two five-team pools set to begin round-robin play on Aug. 19 at Simplot Millennium Park.

The event will begin with Opening Ceremonies on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at 5p.m.. with round-robin play starting the following morning.

The Championship is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, August 22 with the Championship Final at 2 p.m.
