Everyone is invited to attend the Fifth Annual Manitoba Provincial Plowing Match, to be held on Saturday Oct. 2 and Sunday Oct. 3.

The plowing match will be held west of Brandon, south from the junction of No.1 highway and No. 250, between Alexander and Souris.  There is no admission charge for spectators.   There will be horse plowing, vintage plowing and conventional world style plowing.  Novice plowmen are especially welcome to attend.

Competitors come from all over Manitoba to take part. The event will have plowmen from Rivers, Neepawa, St. Andrews, Boissevain, Steinbach, Brookdale, Birnie, Kelwood, Souris, Portage La Prairie and Alexander, as well as, entrants from Alberta and Ontario at previous matches.

Juniors start at 9 a.m., Horse classes start at 11 a.m., and Senior classes start at 1 p.m.  There is no admission charge for spectators, so please feel free to come along for a fun day out and watch the skills used by our ancestors.  Entrants please call Barb to register at  204 534 6451.
