Provincial bucks for heritage tattoo

Merv Tweed, MP for Brandon-Souris, announced funding for the Manitoba Heritage Tattoo to be held Oct. 30-31, 2010 at Westman Place.

“Our Government is committed to ensuring that as many community events as possible can benefit from the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage (BCAH) program,” said Tweed. “This funding will allow Augustfest Brandon to present the Manitoba Heritage Tattoo.”

“This [$14,100] grant will enable them to enhance the historical emphases during the tattoo programming,” said David C. Wilson.

The BCAH program reviews and assesses each application based on merit, eligible expenses, and overall available resources.
