New Dean

Brandon University has announced that Dr. Cam Symons will be serving as the Acting Dean of Education for the upcoming academic year.
“Cam brings to the position a range of educational experiences that will benefit his students, his Faculty and the university more generally,” said Dr. Scott Grills, vice-president (Academic and Research).
Dr. Symons has been with BU since 2000 as a professor, Student Advisor, and Director of Field Experience in the Faculty of Education. This followed eighteen years of work in the Manitoba public school system. In 2006 he was awarded the Brandon University Senate Award for Excellence in Teaching. Symons’ “Exceptional Teachers’ Casebook” has sold over a thousand copies in Manitoba since its release in 2008.
