On December 6th, 2011, there was a thank you breakfast for the 18 Youth Revolution Coordinators. The Youth Revolution is an initiative of the Brandon Community Drug and Alcohol Education Coalition. A few coordinators were able to make it to the breakfast, which was sponsored by Westoba Credit Union. During the breakfast, the coordinators received a gift item from the Drum Café, enjoyed a dance performance from a Youth Revolution member and grade 11 student from Vincent Massey High School, Katey Rogowsky, and were able to discuss the Youth Revolution achievements and future events that will be implemented from December, 2011 to June, 2012. “It is great to be able to all work together and share the students and adult skills in our schools and the community,” said Lili Jardine, the Brandon Community Drug and Alcohol Education Coalition coordinator. In the 2010-2011 year, the Youth Revolution had 150 Y-R members in 15 schools and implemented 62 projects. In the 2011-2012 year, the Y-Revolution has over 250 members and has implemented 62 projects already.
