Postcards from the Past now available on MTS TV

Postcards from the Past, a historical biography series produced locally in Brandon, is now available on MTS TV.

Postcards from the Past, a historical biography series that features past Brandon personalities such as Thomas L. Rosser, Kaye Rowe, Jade Choy, Fred Brown, Eleanor Kidd, J.D McGregor, and James Kirkcaldy, is now available for viewing on MTS TV’s video on demand service, Winnipeg On Demand.   “If you subscribe to MTS TV you can watch the series any time you choose – it’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” said Graham Street, the series’ producer.   “All seven episodes can be found in the ‘TimeLine’ drop down menu.” Featuring the work of Brandon’s growing television production community and the rich historic narratives of this fascinating city, the series offers something for history aficionados and casual viewers alike. “It was an excellent experience working with community television production professionals Diane Nelson, Greg Sherris, Nate Bower, Malena Gonzalez, Scott Howarth, and Chris Beyette to produce the series,” Street said. “And I’m especially grateful to The Brandon Fire Department, S.J. McKee Archives, Eileen Trott at The Daly House Museum, Brandon Humane Society, Sue-On and Bill Hillman, The Brandon Sun, XII Manitoba Dragoons, and 26 Field Regiment Museum, The Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba, and Marc George at the RCA Museum. Without their support, the series would never have been possible.” Time Tourist, the documentary series Street produced in 2010 on the subject of The City of Brandon’s iconic buildings can also be seen on MTS TV.
