Trevor Kowalchuk and Louise Pilon are excited to finally hold their grand opening this week at Home Hardware on 18th Street.

The Home Hardware on 18th Street has been undergoing renovations and changes since new owners Louise Pilon and Trevor Kowalchuk took over in 2009, and finally all their hard work is about to come to fruition during the Grand Opening this week from Thursday, April 12, till Saturday, April 14, as customers will be able to come in and see incredible sales on everything they could want for a home.

“It's really exciting to finally be able to do this,” said Pilon.

“We know our customers had to put up with a lot while we were renovating; at one point we even had to tell them that the dust on the merchandise was free because there was just so much mess, and so we are really thankful for their patience. Hopefully that shows in some of the sales we have planned.”

The pair had both been working at the different Home Hardware locations in Brandon previously, and when new owners were being looked for, they knew it was a good idea.

“We both had experience with what makes Home Hardware the best,” said Kowalchuk.

“I think that our experience will reflect in this new store now that it's ready to go.”

The new location has been massively expanded, and if offering real one-stop-shopping for anything a home owner could need, from lumber and construction materials to facets and paint, from lighting fixtures to power tools, and even gifts and a hunter and fishing section, something not previously available in Home Hardware.

“We want to offer everything our customers could be looking for,” said Kowalchuk.

“We have made some pretty huge expansions to the building to be able to fit everything, so we're sure people will be happy with our selection.”

While flyers have already been floating around the city with some incredible grand opening sales, there will be many listen in-store only, giving people a great reason to come check it out.

“We have some awesome deals already listen, like 50 per cent off on a barbeque we carry, but there is going to be so much more during the grand opening,” said Pilon.

“Hopefully people can come check it out, they definitely won't be disappointed.”

The Grand Opening will be taking place on April 12, with sales lasting until the 14. Be sure to swing by and take in the valuable new addition to Brandon's economy.
