Daniel Tselyakov is one of the brightest up-and-coming stars on the piano, having just been accepted into a prestigious music school. He will be performing alongside his father Alexander Tselyakov and several other musicians at the fundraiser on May 24.

On Thursday, May 24, any music-lover is invited to the Lorne Watson Recital Hall at Brandon University at 8:00 p.m. for the Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival Fundraiser, featuring Alexander Tselyakov as one of the most brilliant pianists around, and artistic Director of the Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival, as well as a plethora of outstanding chamber and classical musicians, such as Catherine Wood, clarinet, Naomi Forman, soprano, Nancy Hennen, flute, Greg Gatien, host and saxophone, Eric Platz, percussion, and Daniel Tselyakov, piano.

“The Clear Lake Music Festival is a great event, and we need support to be able to continue putting it on each year,” said Alla Turbanova, one of the festival organizers.
“We hold a fundraiser like this each year, and it’s always a big hit. We are very lucky to be hosting some of these musicians.”

The fundraiser will feature Concert Extravaganza “Classic meets Jazz,” as well as a wine reception and silent auction following the concert. The auction is featuring not only gifts and donations from business sponsors, but also various pieces of local artwork from names such as Jan Brancewicz, Weiming Zhao, Ray Howell, Ken and Eilenn Frazer and others.

The Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival values music as integral to the human experience, and works to preserve and enhance musical heritage while staying committed to excellent classical and chamber live performances.

Alexander Tselyakov is already a big name, and his son Daniel is a fast-rising star in the industry, having just been accepted to Oberlin Conservatory of Music, one of the most prestigious and best music undergraduate programs.
Tickets for the fundraiser cost $25 if purchased before May 22, or $30 afterwards. Tickets can also be purchased for $75 with a $50 tax-deductible receipt.

“We hope as many people as possible come out to the fundraiser,” said Turbanova.
“It will be a wonderful evening and it helps keep the Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival active for another year.”
