Debbie Arsenault, 55, passed away last Monday morning after a lengthy battle with cancer. Arsenault served as CEO of the United Way Brandon for more than 33 years, and was highly regarded as one of the most caring, dedicated, and hardest working members of the Westman Community.

“Debbie has been a significant factor in the United Way’s success in recent years; she dedicated her life to the organization and the community.”
Arsenault, November 14, 1956 – July 9, 2012, was very well known around Westman as one of the hardest working, dedicated, and most caring members of the community.
“Debbie was the matriarch of this organization,” said Cynamon Mychasiw, who has agreed to serve as CEO for the United Way in wake of Arsenault’s passing.
“She dedicated her entire life to [the United Way] and the community. She honestly loved Brandon and the people in it; it was the sole goal in life to make Brandon a better place for everyone.”
A come-and-go reception was held last Thursday night at the Victoria Inn Imperial Ballroom. While flowers are gratefully declined, anyone who wishes is asked to make donations in memory of Debbie to the United Way of Brandon and District, 201-1011 Rosser Avenue, Brandon, MB, R7A 0L5. Anyone who was unable to attend the reception is welcomed to visit http://memorieschapel.com/obituary.asp?id=2607 to submit their expression of sympathy via Memories Chapel.
