QUESTION OF THE WEEK

A breath of spring

Members of the Brandon Police Association could show up at your doorway -- bearing flowers.

The Manitoba Lung Association’s “Breath of Spring” tulip campaign is underway. Association area coordinator Wendy Peterson says that corporate deliveries started earlier this week, as did those to area care homes and offices. Peterson says that some corporations have donated their purchases to the respiratory clinic at the hospital and that Association members will be making deliveries. A special campaign was also held by the Westoba, Sunrise and Vanguard Credit Unions.

From Feb. 27 until Mar. 2, Peterson says that they will have tulip displays and sales at seniors’ homes across the city and also this Friday and Saturday (Mar. 1 and 2) at the Shoppers Mall. Tulips cost $6 a bunch or you can buy two for $10.

Peterson says that money raised stays in Manitoba and helps fund their education and support programs.
