Brandon’s Daly House Museum was the epitome of a peaceful, Prairie winter scene, with holiday decorations in the yard and snow-trimmed eves. That changed Sunday, however, when one of this winter’s few snowstorms blew into the region from the west, leaving up to 16 centimeters of snow in its wake. Winds reaching 60 kilometers per hour made highway travel difficult, with snow-covered roads and visibility down to 800 meters. School divisions outside of the city cancelled classes Monday, providing students a one-day extension to their Christmas break.
