New Valleyview outdoor rink opens to public
The facility, located on Whillier Drive, is part of the city’s Valleyview Recreation Hub project, which includes an investment of $980,000 into the community.
The new Valleyview Community Centre ice rink and warm-up building was officially opened on Thursday evening. The facility, located on Whillier Drive, is part of the city’s Valleyview Recreation Hub project, which includes an investment of $980,000 into the community. The ice surface measures 53 meters by 23 meters while the warm-up building is fully accessible and connected to the Valleyview Community Centre’s washrooms. Hydro poles and flood lighting for the outdoor rink were salvaged from the facility that previously existed at the centre.
